Cancellation & Refund Policy

How to cancel, what happens to your certificate when you do, and when a refund applies.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Cancelling

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not retroactively cancel a term already paid for.

What you are paying for

Certification is sold as a subscription with a term of either one year or three years, chosen at checkout. The subscription covers the assessment that issues your certificate and the surveillance that keeps it valid for that term — it is not a one-off purchase of a document.

The amount and the currency are the ones shown at checkout, in either US dollars or UAE dirhams, and any taxes that apply are shown there before you pay. Nothing is charged that you have not seen on that screen.

Renewal, and the date it happens

Your next renewal date is recorded against your request and visible in your dashboard. Cancelling before that date stops the next charge. Cancelling after it does not reverse a term you have already paid for, because the surveillance obligation for that term has already begun.

A three-year term is charged as a three-year term. If you expect your scope or your business to change materially inside that window, a one-year term is the safer choice.

A failed payment is not a cancellation

If a renewal payment fails, the subscription moves to past due rather than being cancelled, and we will contact you. This matters, because an unpaid subscription that is left unresolved ends in the certificate being withdrawn — which is visible to anyone checking it on the registry.

Updating the payment method from your dashboard resolves it. If a payment failed because you intended to cancel, tell us, so the certificate is withdrawn deliberately rather than by default.

Changing a standard or accreditation body

Adding a standard is a new scope, and it is priced as such. Changing the accreditation body after a certificate has been issued is a transfer rather than an amendment, and it involves a fresh assessment — so it is not a refund of the original, and it is worth getting right before you start.

If a tender names an accreditation body, tell us before the assessment begins.

What happens to the certificate

A certificate is maintained by the surveillance audits the subscription pays for. When a subscription ends, the arrangement that maintains the certificate ends with it, and the certificate is withdrawn and updated on the registry at the end of the paid period.

This matters commercially: a withdrawn certificate stops appearing as valid to the clients who check it, so cancel with your next tender cycle in mind rather than at the moment the invoice lands.

When a refund applies

  • If payment was taken in error, or taken twice, we refund it in full
  • If we have not yet begun work on your request — no documentation reviewed and no audit scheduled — we refund it in full
  • If we are unable to proceed for a reason on our side, we refund the unused portion

When it does not

Once assessment work has started, that work has been performed and is not refundable, whatever the outcome. This includes the case where an audit finds that a management system does not meet the standard.

This is a consequence of what certification is. An audit that could be refunded on an unfavourable result would be an audit nobody could rely on, including the buyers who check your certificate.

If you are unsure whether you are ready, say so before you start. Finding that out at Stage 1 is cheaper than finding it out at Stage 2.

How to request one

Email [email protected] from the address on your account, with the order or certificate reference and what you are asking for. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe; how quickly it appears is set by your bank rather than by us.
