Terms of Service

The basis on which certification is provided through this portal, and what each side is responsible for.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

What we provide

Assessment of your management system against the standard and scope you select, and — where that assessment is successful — issue of a certificate through an accredited certification body, together with the surveillance audits that keep it valid.

We do not build your management system for you. Certification and consultancy are separate activities, and an accredited certification body cannot audit a system it designed.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about your organisation, its activities and its sites
  • Agree a scope that reflects the work you actually perform
  • Maintain the management system between audits, including internal audits and management review
  • Give auditors access to the people, records and sites within scope
  • Tell us promptly about changes to your scope, sites, ownership or activities
  • Use the certificate and any marks only as permitted, and only for the scope certified

Subscription, term and renewal

Certification is provided as a subscription on either a one-year or a three-year term, selected at checkout. The subscription renews automatically on the payment method held, and can be cancelled from your dashboard.

A certificate runs on a three-year cycle and remains valid only while the required surveillance audits are carried out. Cancelling the subscription ends the arrangement that maintains the certificate.

Suspension and withdrawal

A certificate may be suspended or withdrawn where surveillance is not carried out, where findings are not closed within the agreed period, where the certified system has ceased to be maintained, where the certificate or marks are misused, or where information given to us proves materially inaccurate.

A suspended or withdrawn certificate is updated on the registry. This is not a penalty clause for its own sake — a certificate that could never be withdrawn would not be evidence of anything.

Impartiality

Certification decisions are taken on the evidence and independently of the audit team. We do not offer, and will not accept, an arrangement where a certification outcome is agreed in advance or made conditional on anything other than the audit evidence.

Complaints and appeals

If you disagree with a finding or a certification decision, you may appeal it. If you are dissatisfied with the conduct of an audit or with our service, you may complain. Write to [email protected], stating what happened and what outcome you are seeking. Appeals are considered by people who were not party to the decision being appealed.

Liability

Certification attests that a management system was found to conform to a standard at the time it was audited, on the basis of sampling. It is not a guarantee of your products, services or future conduct, and it does not transfer your regulatory obligations to us.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
